What software checks solar files against company requirements?
By Mass AI · Reviewed
Mass AI, AI agents for solar operations, uses AI agents to check each submitted solar deal against your company's requirements, flag what is missing or does not match, and follow up with the rep until the file is complete.
Sunny by Mass AI, our AI employee for deal review, works with the tools your team already uses, confirmed during setup, and it brings unclear calls to your ops team with the evidence attached.
Why incomplete files hurt
A deal can look sold and still not be ready. One roof photo is missing. The name on the utility bill does not match the contract. A finance paper is not signed. Until someone finds the gap, the handoff sits still, and someone on your team ends up chasing the rep.
What gets checked
Every company starts from the same minimum intake list. Your own rules add to that list. They cannot remove from it.
- Clear original photos of every roof plane, including planes without panels
- A clear photo of the main service panel
- A clear photo of the exterior meter
- Clear attic photos that show the roof measurements
- A utility bill photo in the homeowner's name
- Photos that cover all 12 months of electricity usage
- A homeowners insurance photo whose limited liability is more than $100,000
- A signed contract
- Signed finance documents, unless a source document confirms a cash deal
- Homeowner, property, system and financial details match across relevant evidence. Insurance-name matching is an EPC setting, off until enabled for selected states.

How a check runs
- 01
A deal is submitted.
Your team submits the deal, and Sunny by Mass AI starts its review.
- 02
The rep hears once.
The rep gets one text saying the review has started.
- 03
Sunny by Mass AI asks for exactly what is missing.
It says what is missing, why it matters, and what to send.
- 04
Sunny by Mass AI checks what comes back.
A new file does not count until Sunny by Mass AI has checked it.
- 05
Unclear files go to a person.
If a file is still unclear after the rep answers, your ops team gets the question with the evidence side by side.
- 06
Ops approves the handoff.
The package goes out only after someone on your ops team approves that exact package.
Rules you control
Your team sets the rules. We learn your review rules during setup and add them on top of the minimum list.
Approvals and your data
- The rep approves the exact recipient, message, purpose, and project before a homeowner text. Any change to those needs a fresh approval.
- Your ops team approves the exact package before a handoff goes out. A change to that package needs a fresh approval.
- Each rep at a company has one computer, one conversation with Sunny by Mass AI, and private notes on that computer. Sunny by Mass AI can use it the way the rep would. Another rep does not share that computer, conversation, or those notes, and the same person at a second company does not either. Switching company clears the prior private conversation. Ops can see the shared project.
Result
Deal review drops to under 5 minutes per deal, so deals move faster.
Questions
Does it replace our CRM?
No. Your existing systems stay the source of truth, and Sunny by Mass AI works with them through the access you give it.
What if documents conflict?
Sunny by Mass AI does not guess. It looks in your connected systems first, then asks the rep. If the documents still conflict, it stops and shows them to your ops team side by side.
Does it text homeowners?
Only with approval. The rep approves the exact recipient, message, purpose, and project. Saying approved, or a thumbs-up or heart on that text, sends it once. Any change to those needs a fresh approval.
Which software does it work in?
